The Chiefs (1-0) opened the season with a victory in straight sets 25-19, 25-15, and 25-17 over the Trinity Christian Warriors. Senior Summer Becker had eight service points and five kills, while Senior Bianca Monis had ten assists and five service points.

The Chiefs came into the match hot from the start with great play from seniors Kyli Zeeman and Gina Ausiello. With help from the crowd pumping the team up, the Chiefs hit their way to 25-19 in the first set.

In the second set, the Chiefs maintained high energy as Senior Summer Becker and Junior Juliana Miranda played spectacularly both offensively and defensively to win the set 25-15.

The Chiefs only needed one more set to win the best of 5 match, and Senior Bianka Monis led the way to a 25-17 victory.

Junior Juliana Miranda weighed in at the end of the game.

 I felt like it was a huge team effort tonight,” said Miranda. ” If we can continue this style of play, we can make a huge run in districts this year.”
