Lancers Crush Chiefs

Matthew Leto, Sports Editor

The Chiefs came into Friday night prepared for their first victory on the season after a 0-3 record to start the season. John I. came into the game 0-3 and were also looking to capture their first win of the season. The Chiefs fell behind early to the Lancers, and could never get going, losing the game 37-19.

Senior Marquise Jackson who played his first game of the season scored his first touchdown this season on a quick rushing score. The Chiefs will need to replace senior Sidney Guillaume, who suffered a leg injury that could keep him sidelined for the remainder of the season.

In a positive note, this is the second straight game the Chiefs have put 19 or more points. With this young Chiefs team, the more experience the better it is in the long run for the Chiefs. It won’t be long until the Chiefs are dominating week in and week out.
