Inside Varsity Football: Week 10

Matthew Leto, Sports Editor

The Chiefs played the undefeated Park Vista Cobras this past week with a 53-7 loss. The Varsity football team will play on the road this Friday night against West Boca. This game is crucial for the Chiefs, as this is the final last game. Last season, the Chiefs were defeated 37-21.

West Boca is winless to begin the season and will also look to capture their first victory of the season. The Chiefs will be prepared to end the season with a victory. Sophomore quarterback Arthur Gray Jr. or Senior Marquise Jackson will likely start under center, and may have a fantastic night passing to offensive weapons Bradley Toussaint and Kendyl Williams.

Defensively, the Chiefs will attempt to shut down the Bull’s offense. Additionally, Seniors Raymond Bailey, and Miguel Ebersold, should contribute heavily in a physical defense Friday night.

Senior Victor Hollis weighed on this upcoming game.

“If we play physically and play the game we know we can play,”  said Hollis. “We will finish the season for sure with a win.”
