How long have you been in color guard for?

“This is my second marching season at Santaluces and I’m starting my first winter season at a different school.”

What made you start doing color guard?

“I wanted to start color guard when I first learned about it in eighth grade. I just thought it was so amazing how the performers were so strong and yet seemed so graceful.”

What advice would you give to future color guard members?

“Future color Guard members should know that it takes time to learn, and that hard work will pay off…don’t be discouraged that it’s ‘too late to start’ because unlike most sports, many people don’t start color guard until high school.”

Would you continue color guard in college?

“I’m hoping to possibly do marching color guard at FAU.”
