DIY Holiday Cards
December 2, 2019
Holiday cards are the perfect addition to any gift. Taking the time to customize one is easy and often times more inexpensive than purchasing one. In five easy steps, you can make the perfect card for friends, family, or your significant other.
1. Grab your supplies
You don’t need anything special, all you need is something to write with and a piece of paper. If you want to get creative grab colored pencils, markers, stickers, colored paper, and more.
2. Fold your paper
Whether it’s folded horizontal or vertical, your card will turn out perfect. Make sure the fold is straight! A good fold can make the card.
3. Pick a design
Select a font. Big, small, cursive, and print, your card will stand out from the rest. Your cover phrase can be specific to a holiday like Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or be as simple as “Happy Holidays!”
4. Time for the inside!
This is where your card goes from generic to sentimental. You can write anything you want. We recommend throwing in some inside jokes, or something special in your relationship with the person receiving the card. Don’t forget to finish it off with a parting phrase and your name, such as “With joy, John.”
5. Give it to someone you love
You can give it to any friend, family member, or significant other in your life. Cards are a perfect addition to any present, or simply on their own.
