“My favorite memory took place when I was eight years old. I took a family trip to Italy in the summer of 2006 and that was the year Italy beat Germany in the World Cup. At the time, we were in a small town in the mountains. Loads of people were crowded outside of every bar and restaurant along the street, I was watching with a huge crowd and they projected the game onto a big wall. Everyone was on the edge of their seat the entire time, every time they scored a goal, people would scream like crazy. When Italy won, complete strangers were hugging and kissing like they were family, everyone was ecstatic. There was an incredible amount of pure joy pulsing through the crowd, I will never forget that night.”
