“My favorite memory was over spring break. I went canoeing with my best friend Cristian and a couple of my cousins. It was their first time canoeing but it wasn’t mine. So, I explained how to paddle and how to get off the canoe. It was at Okeeheelee park, and in the middle of the lake there is an island. Everyone wanted to go on the island to take pictures, so we did. As I got off the boat with Cristian, the other girls were pulling in. As one of the girls got off to pull the boat up towards the island, she fell in the water. I was laughing so hard that my stomach started to hurt. We stayed on the island for about 30 minutes. When I got to my boat, I noticed the other boat wasn’t next to mine. I looked around and saw that the boat drifted away from where it was. I was seriously laughing, but of course I was going to help them get it. Their reactions were priceless, because they were in shock. I went on my boat with Cristian to get their boat, but it would be hard to paddle with one then. Luckily, I had shoes with laces. Therefore, I reached out for their boat and used my shoe lace to tie their boat to the end of mine. They were so happy that I was able to get it for them. At the end of the day, we went to have a picnic.”
