“My favorite memory at Santaluces was when the wrestling team won county. We were tied with Park Vista and it came down to one final match that lasted the full three rounds and Justin Matejka (graduated team mate) won the match by 2 points. The team erupted and celebrated our deserved victory. We all put in the work and motivated each other so we could finally beat that ‘School Out West’. It was a very proud moment for all of the wrestlers. We hadn’t beaten Park Vista in ten years, then when it happened I was extremely happy for everyone. To put your heart and your mind into something you truly love to do and watch you come out on top, that’s the best feeling.”

Hello, my name is Joe-Joe Matuella. This year is my senior year and my first year with the Tribe and I am excited for a great year. I have been a photographer since I was 8 years old working with my father's photography company, and I am eager to share my pictures with everyone who visits our website. I love sports but have not been able to stick with one; I dabbled with baseball in the fall of my freshman year and football in the spring of my sophomore year. The Tribe offers me the opportunity to participate with the sports I love in a new manner of photographing and writing about them.
