Hurtado has been with the team for two years now and is extremely excited to see what the new year has to offer. She also has a background of dance which has helped her tremendously in the sport. She also enjoys learning more about her Colombian heritage through cooking and her mom.  Ms. Hurtado was born in Colombia and immigrated to America almost 30 years ago. Diana uses her mom as an inspiration for her work ethics, “She’s the one woman that has taken care of me my entire life. I wouldn’t want it any other way, she’s hard-working and driven no matter the situation”.

After high school, Hurtado plans to attend Florida International University with a major in biochemistry. Her dream job is to become a forensic pathologist, “There’s a long road ahead of me but I plan to stick with it”, she states. After gaining a bachelor’s degree in science she plans to head to Detroit, Michigan to attend Wayne State University for their prestigious medical program.
