Disney+ currently offers more than 7,000 movies and TV shows for viewers to enjoy. Content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic, and Star Wars are all available through a Disney+ subscription. With so many options to choose from, audiences may have a hard time choosing what to watch. My list of the best movies on Disney+ will help you make the big decision of what to choose for your next family movie night.
The first movie on my list is Tangled. Tangled is the story of a girl named Rapunzel with magical hair. Rapunzel has been hidden away for her entire life by her mother, Mother Gothel. When a runaway thief named Flynn Ryder finds Rapunzel, she must decide between following her mother’s wishes and freeing herself from the tower she’s been stuck in. Starring Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi as Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder, Tangled is fun for the whole family. Arguably the best Disney princess movie of them all, Tangled is a must see on Disney+.
Marvel fans will be happy to hear that Disney+ carries every Marvel movie to date. The options are endless, however, every viewer should make time to see Thor: Ragnarok. Thor: Ragnarok is the third installment of Thor’s character series, and the most fun yet. After years of serious action and grit, director Taika Waititi created the most entertaining Marvel movie yet. Thor and Hulk team up in this film to defeat Thor’s evil sister, Hela. Thor: Ragnarok provides its viewers with laughs and action in the best way.
Last but not least, movies from Disney’s Pixar are also offered on Disney+. The beautiful animation style and touching storylines make Pixar movies fan favorites for many people. Although it was very hard to choose, I would say that Ratatouille is one of the best Disney Pixar movies available. Ratatouille follows Remy, a rat who loves to cook, and his journey to get into the kitchen and follow his passion. Remy meets a young chef named Linguini who is in way over his head at his job in the kitchen of Gusteau’s. Remy and Linguini team up to create amazing dishes for the citizens of Paris, and keep their unusual secret. Some other honorable Pixar mentions are Up, Toy Story, and Monsters Inc.
