The Golden Globes are an award presentation for outstanding tv and movie performances. The nominees based on entertainment released the previous year; so much of what people have been watching during the quarantine. 

Netflix movies and shows have the most nominations out of any distributor including The Crown, Trial of the Chicago 7, and The Queen’s Gambit. Also, for the first time ever, 3 women are nominated for best director including the first Asian woman. The Globes will also be virtual amidst the ongoing pandemic.
