Are you wondering what to do for spirit week or feeling like you shouldn’t participate because you don’t know what you should dress up as? Well, here are a few ideas for each day:
Nerds vs. Jocks (10/20) – This day kind of speaks for itself. If you wanna be a nerd, I would suggest getting some overalls, khaki shorts, bow ties, glasses, long funny socks. Things that would make you stick out of a crowd is your best bet. If you want to be a jock make sure you get one of those classic letterman jackets that they wear. Use those big jugs of water and get some sports balls, such as basketballs and footballs.
Superheroes vs. Villains (10/21) – If you want to be a superhero, go for a classic like Batman, Superman, or Spider-Man. You can also do uncommon superheroes, like the power rangers. Villains can range through a lot of different characters. You could do classic villains, like the Joker, or you can do Disney villains, like Maleficent or Evil Queen.
“Mom!! It’s Not a Phase” Day (10/22) – These can be made super fun. You can be emo and get some skull inspired clothing with big chunky belts and baggy clothes. You can also be a Vsco girl and get scrunchies, a Hydro Flask and some Vans. These ideas are just the tip of the iceberg and can be taken to the next level depending on what you can get.
Royals vs. Rebels (10/23) – Royals can be princesses, knights, or Greek gods. You can get clothing like this off of common sites like SHEIN and Amazon. For rebels, I would suggest going to a thrift store. You can be a pirate, cowboy, or jail cell inmates. You can even go as far as going back in time and dressing as old royals or old western cowboys and cowgirls.
Freaky Friday (10/24) – This should be a fairly easy theme to do. Switch with anyone you want whether it’s a teacher, your boyfriend, or your girlfriend. If you do these switches, make sure you still come to school dressed appropriately. If you’re switching with a boy, don’t make him wear a tube top. If you’re switching with a girl, don’t make her wear a muscle t-shirt.
I hope this has helped inspire your costumes so that you can participate in Spirit Week!
