What inspired you to become a teacher?

“I would have to say I wanted to become a teacher after my first substituting experience. I was in the business world and they had transitioned technology into something I really wasn’t interested in learning and I am more of a people person. So, in-between work I started substituting and my first day of substituting was hysterical. I felt energized, I felt like it was so much fun even though the kids weren’t behaving very well. I thought, I already had a degree so id just pursue a career. Its very steady, consistent, professional, well respected, you have a retirement, you get benefits all of those appealed to me.”
