The Link Crew program has had juniors and seniors on their toes. About 40 Link Leaders, as they are called, work with incoming freshmen in the JumpStart program satisfy the freshmen FLVS credit and volunteer hours requirement. The Leaders also prepare the campus for the upcoming school year. Milkweed has been planted in order to attract butterflies, and bulletin boards have been put up to inform freshmen.

  Incoming freshman Nicole Decaro said that although she’s nervous, she’s looking forward to her first year at Santaluces and the JumpStart program has helped her get used to the campus.

  “I’m getting a head start,” said Decaro. “More than the others (freshmen) do.”
