Chiefs in the Johnson Scholars Program as well as athletes and members of the AVID program lined up to participate in the 6th annual Strides for Education on Saturday, February 4th. The Chiefs ran and walked a 5-k along with several other schools in order to raise money for awareness and scholarship dollars for the Take Stock in Children program. Assistant Principal Mr. Gideon won a medal in the Beach Dash. The scholarship is awarded to low income students. While there, the Chiefs participated in activities such as climbing and the bungee trampoline. After the events, the Chiefs headed down to the beach to unwind.
