She won the “Celebrate Our Heroes Gold Star Family Poster Competition” in the high school category with her patriotic design. Maria won a $100 Visa gift card and will be awarded a Gold Star Family Medallion. In addition, when the Palm Beach County School District board members meet again, she will be recognized during a board meeting.
