Senior forward Sean Dinkins was named conference player of the year by the Sun Sentinel.
Dinkins led the Chiefs basketball team to a 22-7 record this season, despite a rough start to the season, as well as a District championship. Although, the Chiefs fell short in the Regional semi-final, it was one of the most successful seasons in over a decade. Dinkins was also named to the Palm Beach County boys Senior all-star game, along with teammates: Job Jean-Baptiste, Mark Sajous and Shaun O’Connor.
“To be named the conference player of the year, it feels good because I worked so hard to get to this point in my life and I would put the team on my back in certain games,” said Dinkins. “It was just a really good experience.”
Dinkins will continue to play basketball as he announced he will be playing with the Palm Beach Warriors as he hopes to receive a college scholarship.
