Inside Varsity Football: Week 7

Matthew Leto, Sports Editor

The Chiefs played Lake Worth this past week with a 35-0 loss. The Varsity football team will play on the road this Monday night against the Atlantic  Eagles. Last season, the Chiefs were defeated by Atlantic 35-0.

Atlantic has victories against Wellington, West Boca and Spanish River. The Chiefs face a tough opponent this upcoming week. Atlantic is a division power house, so the Chiefs are in store for a classic. Sophomore quarterback Arthur Gray Jr. or Senior Marquise Jackson will likely start under center, and may have a fantastic night passing to offensive weapons Bradley Toussaint and Kendyl Williams.

Defensively, the Chiefs should come ready to compete against Atlantic’s offense. Additionally, Seniors Raymond Bailey, and Miguel Ebersold, should contribute heavily and keep Atlantic’s offensive on their heels Monday night.

Senior Miguel Ebersold weighed in on this week’s exciting matchup.

“We haven’t played like were capable of playing yet,” Ebersold said. “We are going into this game well prepared.”
