Chiefs Win Against Wellington

Winning all district games, Chiefs finish ranked number one. Thursday night, Chiefs battled a tight game against the Wolverines.
Wellington starts off ahead with a goal made with a penalty kick. Chiefs’ defense rush to keep back the ball. The score remains 1-0 through the first quarter.
Our Varsity Chiefs hustle to get a goal throughout this quarter with on field coaching from captain Alejandro Castaing. The quarter ends with a lucky goal made by Wellington.
Chiefs and Wolverines go into time-out and playing strategies are laid out by five year varsity coach, Coach Frenchy.
Entering the second half of the game with Wellington winning by 2-0, the Chiefs bounce back with resilience.
A free-kick made by senior Ethan Sisley gets the ball rolling, literally and figuratively. Goal after goal is made. The second goal is made by senior Markenly Dubreil.
Now tied 2-2, the tension on the field and crowd is thick. A goal is scored by Wellington, making it 3-2. Questions began to arise as to whether Chiefs will lose on their senior night.
Entering the fourth quarter, both teams are on their A game. Chiefs work together better than before and a goal is made by Jose Robles. The game is tied once again at 3-3. The clock is ticking and everyone is at the edge of their seats.
A final goal is made by sophomore Anthony Gomes, leaving the crowd roaring!
The game ends 4-3 — a win for the Varsity Chiefs.
