National Hispanic Heritage month began on September 15th and ended on October 15th.

Latinos In Action (LIA) hosted their second annual showcase on Wednesday October 24th representing many of the Hispanic cultures. All students were welcomed and came to experience a night of observing the different types of performances done in Hispanic countries. Performances included poetry, singing and different dance styles such as bachata and merengue.

“Latinos In Action has done great things for me as a Hispanic,” said senior Mel Herrera. “It has shown me that I can reach my full potential and strive to be a great person and a great leader. It is teaching me that anything is possible and I can do anything I put my mind to.”
