The Talent Show

On Wednesday night, the Santaluces’ drama classes hosted the annual talent show. The talent show was held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and was hosted by Clairessa Erilas and MaCarthy. There were so many amazing people who performed.
Before the show, all of the performers were backstage getting ready for the show. Some were filled with excitement and others were filled with nerves. One performer, Kezia Ford, said “I’m kind of, sort of, nervous but I’ve performed a lot so I’m also excited.”
The show started off strong with a dance performed by a color guard member. This performance was followed up by many singers such as Kezia Ford who sang the song “Blue” by Beyonce, the Diaz sisters who sang “Lovely” by Billie Eilish, Lauren Andrade who sang “What About Us” by Pink, Tikarah Norman who sang “Golden,” Tavia Patterson who sang an original piece “Unfolded,” and Aryana Ortiz who sang “Set it Off.”
There were two amazing electric guitar acts performed by Erin Bellak and Zach Hechler. William Simmons and Eric Dumas both performed original raps and Jonathon Rosado performed a piano solo that accompanied a Marvel movie.
The show was closed by an amazing performance from senior, Bianney Perales.
Mr. Winkles, Ms. Alonso and Mr. Dickerson were the three judges who discussed and decided the three winners of the night.
The third place winner was Lauren Andrade, 12th grade.
The second place winner was Eric Dumas, 12th grade.
The first place winner was Yaileen and Katherine Diaz, 11th grade and 9th grade respectively.
