Tough Lost to American Heritage

The Varsity Baseball team lost their first game to American Heritage High School, 7-0. The Chiefs played hard all game but they could not get the win. The pitchers for Santaluces were Cody Morgan, Victor Herrera, and Nick Beck. Morgan had two strike outs more than the other pitchers. Nick Beck pitched last with only 12 pitches.

The Chiefs had a bad night at batting with only one hit by Eathyn Little. The Chiefs had 87.5% in catching compared to American Heritage with 91.7%. Six Chiefs had three plate appearances.

According to Max Prep, American Heritage is ranked number 9 in the state for their baseball team. Coming into this game, the Chiefs may have been battling a mental block because of the strength of American Heritage.
