This Thanksgiving, I would like to express my never-ending appreciation for my older sister. Not only is she my older sister, but she’s also my second mom, teacher, role model, and best friend. To her is where I go when I want to raid a closet, vent about my problems, or go on randomly spontaneous adventures. She led me through every step of my life, from helping me learn to walk to helping me learn to drive, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her patience, guidance, and love. I have always tried to follow in her footsteps since I was a baby and that still hasn’t changed. Although I’ve been left some pretty big shoes to fill, there isn’t anyone else who I strive to be like other than my big sister, so I am forever thankful for her.
