Azzurra Degliuomini

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for my friends and family. This year has been tough for everyone, so I’m incredibly grateful that they’re all safe. At the beginning of the year, when the virus was still new, Italy became one of the hardest hit countries in the world. Since I’m from there, everyday I had the thought in the back of my head that something might happen to them. My cousin’s girlfriend did catch the virus because she’s a nurse who was working at one of the most hardest hit regions in the country. Luckily, she recovered and is still helping people with COVID. Being stuck in my house for the past 9 months has been boring, which is something we could all agree on. I’m thankful for my friends, who have kept me entertained and laughing the entire time. I would not have gone through this quarantine life if it wasn’t for my friends and family, which is something I will forever be grateful for.
