This year, I am incredibly thankful for my friends Leah, Steph, and Chlo.

The previous school year was my first year attending Santaluces High School, and I didn’t have many friends that I talked to consistently. Then, during my last cross-country meet of the season, I offered one of my teammates, Leah a ride to the meet. That’s when we realized that we were both in a lot of the same clubs. We started talking more and become great friends. She introduced me to her friends Chlo and Steph.

I love my friends. They are the most supportive group of girls and are really honest people. Leah is always willing to give us rides and help me a whole great amount when my car wasn’t working for the past few months. Steph will always be the first to offer a hug or support. Lastly, Chlo is always just there to talk to.

I’m honored to call them my friends and I can’t wait to see what our Senior year will look like. Leah was the one who told me about the newspaper class that she was in and how I should join next year. I’m happy that I did. I met the amazing staff of The Tribe and am now also a proud member as well.

Sometimes, certain people are placed in your life for a reason. This Thanksgiving, I challenge everyone to take a step back and think about what or maybe who they are thankful for. The world goes by so fast that sometimes we forget to give thanks for the most important things in our lives.
