Every year, parents come out to Open House, but this year’s parent attendance was one of the largest in recent memory, according to Dr. Weigel.
Before parents followed their student’s schedules, the Marching Chiefs played the school fight song and the Chorus performed the National Anthem in the couryard. The step team showed off their stepping techniques and the varsity cheerleaders got the crowd excited. Drama student Elizabeth Wait, a junior, performed a monologue for the crowd as well.
Throughout the night, members of the National Honor Society and JROTC helped parents find their classrooms. Members of the new criminal justice academy helped direct cars in the student parking lot.
“It was one of the most successful ones we’ve had,” said Mr. Krupa. “I especially enjoyed the student performances. It was a really nice night because it was a group effort. That made it an outstanding night. I wish we had one every night.”
