Sara Velasco is the only senior on the softball team. She’s been on the varsity softball team for all four years of her high school career and this is her fourteenth year playing softball. She has been playing since she was four years old and for seven years she played catcher. Right now she plays first base mostly but she also plays third base and outfield. She said that through the years the team has had its ups and downs, but that her favorite season out of her playing all four years was her sophomore year where she played catcher and first base. She has been playing since she was a little girl. “It’s shaped who I am and my character, softball is a part of my life its a part of me I can’t imagine not playing,” she stated. She likes being part of a team and being able to grow with her teams through the seasons. Her favorite softball quote is “Your weakness becomes your strength.” She is excited to hopefully finally get a new banner put up in the gym.

Hi I'm Jordan Foldy. I am now a senior. My friends like to call me Jordy. I have been on the varsity softball team for the past three years and hope to be on the team again as a captain. I am obsessed with going to the beach, and have had a deep love for turtles since the third grade. I am an officer in National English Honor Society and a member in all the honor societies and have been a Key Club member since my sophomore year. I am very excited to be in newspaper and enjoy my senior year. I plan to go to a four-year university and then transfer to law school to become a defense lawyer.
