“My favorite memory would have to be a recent trip to North Carolina with my parents and my younger sister. The twelve hour drive had been planned to visit my beloved older brother, Cristian, who’s in the Army. My family and I had not ever been out of the state of Florida, so we had been eager to take advantages of the situation and explore. Focused on taking every sight in, the hours passed by me easily without boredom, and once we finally reached our destination we didn’t hesitate to be in the moment of our long awaited reencounter with Cristian. We began with a tour of his base- a small city like a neighborhood, moving on to an aviation museum and an outing to downtown. Our journey ended with long embraces and goodbyes but all of our experience that were long treasured.”

Hi, my name is Haley and I am a senior this year at Santaluces. This is my first year on The Tribe and I'm excited to share my ideas with the school. I've been on the varsity swim team for four years and the varsity wrestling team for three years. This past year I came in 3rd place at the Florida Girls States for wrestling at the 106 lb weight class. It was my first time competing at Girls States and I was shocked to see how many girls were actually competing in the tournament. I can't wait to see what this upcoming wrestling season has in stored for me and hope to be able to return to the Florida Girls States to grab the 1st place title. When I'm not at practice, I usually spend my time going to the beach and going on adventures with my friends. I love the ocean and marine life, which is why I'm excited to further my education at a university to study marine biology.
