During Paris Fashion Week (PFW) Kim Kardashian West attended numerous shows, including Balmain, Balenciaga, and Givenchy. The week was filled with ground-breaking looks that enticed social media into a frenzy. Little did we know, and Kim as well, that later that night, after a fashion-related dinner, she would have a gun pointed to her face.

According to media reports, a few hours before the incident, she attended Azzedine Alaïa’s opulent dinner, wearing a white two piece number with a matching choker. Her sister, Kourtney Kardashian also attended the dinner. Kim then retreated to her hotel with both sisters, Kourtney and Kendall Jenner, among others.

During that same hour, Kanye West was headlining the Meadows festival inaugural show in New York. During his set, someone entered the stage and whispered into Kanye’s ear. Kanye then urgently yelled into the crowd that he was having a “family emergency.” The crowd was divided over the statement as some were worried for his family and others were disappointed that their money went to waste.

On Kim’s Snapchat, her friends and sisters were recorded leaving her residence to have a fun night out that Kim could not attend due to a recent spray tan. She was in the room alone as she snapped. Later, when she drifted off to sleep, men broke into the room, tied her up, gagged her, then locked her in the bathroom at gunpoint. The robbers stole $11 million in jewelry.

No one would think that such a big star such as Kim Kardashian West, wife of Kanye West, major fashion figure and the most popular member of the Kardashian Empire would become a victim of such a simple crime because she’s usually surrounded by an army of  bodyguards. Earlier in the week she was assaulted by a man who attempted to kiss her rear end, and who also assaulted model Gigi Hadid. I guess it’s safe to say that she’ll never view PFW positively again.
