Background

Lil Uzi Vert released Eternal Atake on March 6, 2020, and Pink Tape on June 30, 2023. Many people were very excited about Uzi’s next album, with everyone speculating what he would drop next. It was finally revealed on Instagram when Uzi posted the album cover of Eternal Atake 2. He kept teasing fans with new previews and trailers leading up to its release on November 1, 2024. Here are reviews on the album by three Uzi fans.

Alex's Review

In my opinion, Uzi dropped the greatest album of the year. The cadence, the flow, and the lyrics all came together in a beautiful work. His album was a great listen from start to finish and I love the different vibes he brought which showed Uzi’s range. He found a way to distinguish his songs but still make them correlate. Some of my personal favorites were Light Year(Practice), Lyft em up and Chips and Dip. These songs brought an uplifting and hype vibe and others brought more of a chill vibe. This isn’t just my opinion though as the records show for themselves. Uzi was able to have 3 of his songs on the album debut on Billboard’s Top 100 after the album’s release, with the album itself debuting at number 3 as well. Even though people were quick to criticize, I truly believe they should go back and listen to the album since many people truly don’t concentrate on the music and what Uzi is trying to say. Uzi continues to display his skill consistently on his albums. He continues to drop great albums again and again and it is no different this time with Eternal Atake 2, as it showed us that Uzi is still on top of his game and can produce amazing songs.

Dan's Review

I think this album is very inconsistent. Some songs are really good and some are just awful. The songs that I really enjoyed are “We Good, Light Year, Not an Option, She Stank, Mr. Chow, Lyft Em Up, Chips and Dip and Space High.” What made these songs so good was the consistent flow that compliments the beat, great production and his classic sound that I know Uzi for. Especially “Space High” which was my favorite song and I think it’s the only song Uzi executed a new flow and beat superbly on. On the other hand what made me not like the other songs was his poor execution on the new sounds and flows he performed on those songs. Like the deep voice in songs such as “Meteor Man” or that high pitched voice in “Goddard Song” were just absolutely terrible, they ruined almost every song I heard them in. They just did not sound good or complimented the beats they were on. Besides the sound, Uzi also had just some songs that sounded completely out of place, like Uzi was trying out other genres that didn’t really go well together. It was like he was trying to cater to all listeners. Songs such as “Black Hole” and “Conceited” are examples and I think they just don’t fit Uzi’s work and he should stick with making songs like “Light year”. Thus I think this album is a 50/50, either the song is a 10/10 or a song is just garbage.

Steven's Review

I believe that Eternal Atake 2 is an amazing album overall and that Lil Uzi Vert was very versatile with his sound. He had some pretty weird and quirky songs like The Rush, She Stank, and Meteor Man which were pretty out of the ordinary. But his best songs in my opinion were Light years (Practice), Not an Option, Chips and Dip and Chill Bae. Originally it was said that the tracklist was going to consist of songs called 1.Im Cooked 2.Don’t think they ready 3.Aura 4.Wocky Slush 5.Big Time rush 6.Stop It 7.Stank 8.Leslie 9.Lyft 10.How? 11.Eye 2 Eye 12. Don’t Do It 13.Na Uh Uh 14.Potion 15.All That and 16.Chill Ebro. But he tricked his listeners; only a few songs out of this list were put on the album. I believe Lil Uzi Vert’s ability to go from having the best flow and rapping his heart out to them go into full blown singing is on a whole other planet. He also has different ways of showing his amazing flow throughout the album and which is why personally, I think this album overall was an 8/10.
