To celebrate Spongebob’s 25th anniversary, the company behind SpongeBob has partnered with Uniqlo and Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPFM) to release a clothing collection. They bring to life SpongeBob and all of the iconic character’s friends in a wearable collection with many easter eggs for fans.
The streetwear brand Cactus Plant Flea Market is known for its many famous collaborations that have included Nike, Mcdonalds x Travis Scott and Denim Tears. Now they have added SpongeBob to this list with their latest collection.
Uniqlo is also known for many collaborations with other brands and animated TV shows including Dragon Ball Z, Kaws, and even Sesame Street.
CPFM brings its unique designs to the world of Spongebob and combines them with Uniqlo’s high-quality garments to create an amazing clothing collaboration. They showcase the iconic “double eyes” integrated into the clothing along with Spongebob and his friends. This collection consists of hoodies, shirts, caps, and even plushies. We can see many memes being recreated for the collection such as the “I need it” meme, the smirking SpongeBob, and the surprised Patrick memes. The clothing ranges from kids to adult sizes giving a full range of access for all fans to enjoy. Not only is this collection fun and filled with quality products, but it’s also reasonably affordable with prices ranging from $14.90 to $39.90.
For this collaboration, They initially teased an image of a 4-eyed Patrick plushie overlooking the island on top of Bikini Bottom. Later they released a trailer to go along with it. The trailer includes a remake of the original trailer with a cool mix of animation and real-world aspects along with clay animations. It includes cool visuals with many vibrant colors and we can see the CPFM influence on it as the iconic double eyes are subtly hidden everywhere throughout the trailer.
The official collaboration will be released in Uniqlo stores across the US and online on December 12th. So are you ready to celebrate Spongebob’s 25th anniversary in style?
