This week, I had the great experience of interviewing Natasha Altamiranda, a senior currently enrolled here at Santaluces, and a good friend of mine at school. She is a great, hard working student who does her part in order to make everyone’s day brighter and contributes a lot to our school. She does this while also managing to study hard and keep her grades up. I thought it would only be appropriate to ask her a few questions regarding her time at our school and her plans for her life beyond it:
1.) What grade are you in?
“I’m currently in 12th grade, [my] last year of highschool.”
2.) Are you in any clubs, if so, what clubs are you in?
“I’m participating in the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society.”
3.) What are some of your favorite memories here at Santaluces High School?
“I have many favorite memories from the past four years in Santaluces, and they’ve all been around the people I consider my close friends.”
4.) If you were back in your freshman year, what would you change?
“If I were to go back to freshman year, one thing I would change is my self esteem. There are times where I wish I was more confident back then, and able to be more of myself. But I’m doing so much better now and feel comfortable in my own skin.”
5.) What are your plans after high school?
“My plan after high school is to go back to Virginia and then enlist in the Air Force. I do plan on attending university someday for a forensic science degree to become a Forensic Scientist.”
6.) What is your favorite class so far?
“I’m really enjoying my AP Psychology class so far.”
7.) What is your absolute favorite subject?
“My favorite subject is history.”
8.) What advice would you give to any incoming freshmen?
“Stay focused, try to get your work done, and it will all work out in the end!”
