Although it’s not summer anymore, this dessert can be considered a year-round favorite! This recipe is a yummy, no-bake dessert, called Fresas Con Crema, that can be enjoyed by everyone in the family. I learned this recipe when I was 5 years old. That was the age I began to develop my passion to cook. Now, I have the pleasure to share it with you all!
This recipe is very easy to make, the ingredients include:
- 2 Packs of Strawberries
- 1 can of evaporated milk (Carnation)
- 1 can of condensed milk ( you can use any but I definitely recommend the brand ‘lechera’ )
- ½ stick of cream cheese
- 3 spoonfuls of sour cream
- Vanilla extract
- Whipped cream
- Strawberry or Vanilla ice cream
To start, be sure to thoroughly wash the strawberries under cold water. This is important to ensure that all of the dirt and bacteria comes off the strawberries. After this, cut the leaves off the strawberries and then cut them into fours.
Next, start preparing the cream base. In a blender, pour out your evaporated and condensed milk, the cream cheese, sour cream, a touch of vanilla extract and ¼ of your strawberries (Adding strawberries is optional). Then blend until everything is mixed well together.
Lastly, we pour out the cream base onto the strawberries, mix and freeze it for about two to three hours.
I like to pour my Fresas Con Crema into little cups. When I pour it, I’ll fill the cup to the middle, add ice cream, then fill to the top, and then top it off with whipped cream! You can eat it as is, but I feel that this way makes it much tastier!
This recipe is really good if you want to impress a special someone, or if you just want a nice dessert to eat and share with family. I hope this recipe comes out good for you all. Happy holidays!
