Kassandra Gibson during a game

Today, I had the great opportunity to interview Kassandra Gibson, our very own varsity captain on the Lady Chiefs volleyball team! Kassandra or as her teammates call her, ” Cassy”, is currently in her Sophomore year at Santaluces. She measures 5 ft 7 inches, in height and her positions include Outside and Right Side Hitter.

As team captain, she stated, “that even though we are losing, we still push our hardest.” The Lady Chiefs definitely don’t go down without a fight. Kassandra has been playing with the Chiefs since her Freshman year but has been playing volleyball as young as nine years old.  “My favorite part of the game is bringing my team’s energy up and winning the game and just playing, having fun.”

Cassy’s biggest supporters are her family both in sports and academics. Gibson aspires to attend Texas State University and plans on playing for the Bobcats. She also dreams of having her own business by designing fashionable clothing items.

Hey :), My name is Gaby, and this is my first year on the Tribe. If ever need to find me, I always have my headphones on, and I'm about six-foot-five in height. After fighting guidance for a week for this class, I sure as hell hope that you enjoy my work (in other words, please don't expect much from me :| ). I'm excited to contribute to the Tribe as much as I can!!!   Editor's note: Gaby is never this nice, so disregard that smiley face. She's about five-foot-none. So, if you're ever looking for her, look down. The headphones and guidance parts are the only truthful parts of this bio. Stay safe, you guys. Lies everywhere! =[ - LP
