When any holiday comes around, you see it as well as hear it. Lights go up, costumes fly off the shelves, and music starts playing on the radio. But there’s a problem – there really isn’t that much Halloween music. It doesn’t take very long to run out or get tired of the same songs each year, even if Halloween is your favorite holiday. When Thriller gets a little less thrilling, here are five musicians to turn to.
Music for the Spirit of Halloween
Hello, I’m Abbey, and I'm a senior. I’m The Tribe’s managing editor and this is my third year in newspaper. Besides writing, I love riding horses; it’s been a part of my life for nine years. I’ve owned my horses Colors for three years and Raavi since July of 2013. Most of my life outside of school is spent at the barn with my horses.
Other interests of mine are Transformers and video games - from Metal Gear Solid to Animal Crossing, video games bring you into a whole new universe, not to mention they're also my favorite things to write about. I also am a part of musical theater and I'm extremely passionate about acting and singing.
I’ve always loved reading and writing, and newspaper is a fantastic outlet for my need to write. Journalism lets you stretch your writing a bit farther than your average essay, and it’s definitely helped me find my voice and become more well-rounded in different types of writing.
I'm glad to be coming back to the newspaper for another year and I hope you enjoy The Tribe!
