While some celebs looked absolutely fabulous on this year’s red carpet at the Golden Globes, others looked drab. Here are some of the best and worst looks of the 73rd Golden Globes.

Lady Gaga, whose performance in the recent American Horror Story: Hotel earned her a nomination, rocked a classy, sleek black gown for the Golden Globe awards and looked absolutely stunning. Her look resembled that of an old school Hollywood glamour look, from the short blonde hair to the black gown. The dress not only fit her body perfectly, but her makeup and accessories went great with her overall look.

Disney Star Zendaya appeared to the Golden Globes looking effortlessly beautiful in her Marchesa crimson gown. Her gown was highly appropriate for the night and oozed elegance. This look was definitely a favorite because of how perfectly she executed this gown and all the accessories that went with it.

Jennifer Lopez went above and beyond for this year’s Golden Globes. She shined and shimmered down the runway in her bright yellow gown and 200 carat diamonds around her neck.

Jenna Dewan Tatum, dancer and wife of Channing Tatum, was enrobed in a gorgeous navy blue Zuhair Murad gown which she wore beautifully. The perfect amount of skin was shown and the up-do she rocked showed off the beauty of the dress 10 times more.

This reality star has been in the media for a lot other than fashion, but teen star Kylie Jenner showed everyone that she is more than just her lips. She popped out with a gorgeous beige embezzled cropped top and long skirt by Julien Macdonald which looked amazing on her. Her makeup and hairstyle brought the whole casual yet elegant look together.

WORST

The usually fashionable Cate Blanchett took the wrong approach for this year’s award show with her pale pink Givenchy dress. My least favorite part about this gown definitely had to be the unnecessary tassels added to the dress. Adding extra material to a dress is either a hit or miss, and this one was certainly a miss.

American actresses Jane Fonda wore a dress that had huge triple layered ruffles, which complicated an otherwise gorgeous dress. This dress received rather harsh comparisons, including a French custard dessert and a Pierrot clown.

When merging two different style into one dress major caution is required and this dress is a perfect example of why. Actress Leslie Mann, appeared to the awards looking quite childish in her bright pink embroidered gown.

Although the past year has been a great year for this actress, this dress definitely wasn’t. Viola Davis looked flawless, but her dress had quite a few imperfections. The arms of this gown seemed to be way too big for the actual dress, and all of the extra sheer was not necessary at all.
