This weeks top 5 box office movies features the returning number one in Suicide Squad, and two movies that made their respected debuts this weekend in Sausage Party and Pete’s Dragon. Also rounding out the top 5 in box office, was yet another Jason Bourne classic as well as the comedy film Bad Moms. Despite an awful score from rotten tomatoes and the debut of Sausage Party, Suicide Squad has shocked it’s harsh critics with its second number one in the box office in as many weeks.
1. Suicide Squad 43,770,000
2. Sausage Party 33,600,000
3. Pete’s Dragon 21,501,000
4. Jason Bourne 13,620,000
5. Bad Moms 11,450,000
Senior Andrew Betron weighed inĀ on the star studded movie, “Margot Robbie’s performance as Harley Quinn was phenomenal, only a handful of people can pull off the roles of these psychotic characters.”
Although, Suicide Squad has put up shocking numbers and has been number one in both weeks, Imperium debuts this weekend and it should disrupt the top 5 next week.

As a comic fan, this was ok. Jared Leto was bad IF he played a psychopathic joker that’s all about anarchy. As the golden age Joker, the crime boss, he did pretty well despite his running time being minimal. My true qualm with the film is that it’s not friendly to new comers to the DC universe and Harley Quinn’s acting in a few parts being insufferable. Less crazy and more like a middle school girl trying to be cool and edgy. Overall 6/10.

Personally the movie could’ve been better. Jared Leto did poor job as the Joker and just made it awkward. Will Smith as Deadshot was hilarious and Harley Quinn was right in character.

i think the main reason why suicide squad got a bad rate on rotten tomatoes because, they were comparing the movie to those of Marvels. Marvels movies are usually very well composed, DC is more action, but not as well composed.
