The perfect way to take a break from a long day of shopping is to stop and grab a snack. You can grab a bag of chips from the vending machine, or you can spend a little more and stop by to order a macaroon. In the Boynton Beach Mall just outside of the JCPenny’s entrance is a small pastry shop called Nature’s Candies. I’ll be honest, at first glance it isn’t much besides a little shop. However, when you take a bite of their macaroons, your taste buds start dancing.
They have to macaroon sizes: small and large. Small macaroons are $2.50, and the large ones are $2.99. If you have a taste of one and you can’t get enough, don’t worry. They have specials on small and larger macaroon boxes. A box of 6 small macaroons are $14.70, and a box of 12 are $29.40. A box of 6 large macaroons are $17.40, and 11 for $32. If you’re extremely picky about flavors, you don’t have to worry because there’s a huge variety to pick from. They have vanilla, creme brulee, orange blossom, and even honey lavender and much more. Their flavors I feel are pretty unique and rare to find.
If you’re not really feeling macaroons, try their cupcakes. They have red velvet, vanilla, chocolate and rum flavored cakes. If too much sugar makes your mouth dry, try it along side a cooling smoothie. Their smoothies are so good because they have so many flavors to pick from: pineapple-mango, strawberry-banana, and even coconut-papaya. For 12 oz, it’s $3.00, and 24 oz for $5.00.
The employees inside Nature’s Candies were friendly and made sure I knew about all their products. They guided me through all the flavors and were really patient with me while I was selecting my flavors. I tried the chocolate and peanut butter cup macaroon and was not disappointed. I originally wanted to try the peanut butter and jelly flavor, but they were out of it (I went near closing time so I could only blame myself). So do me a favor, stop by and try all of their flavors- especially the peanut butter and jelly macaroon on my behalf.
