Bedner’s Farmers Market located right off of 441 allows visitors to experience first hand what it is like to pick fruit right off the stem. There are two locations in South Florida, one situated on 10066 Lee Road Boynton Beach, FL 33473 and the other on 381 NE 3rd Ave Delray Beach, FL 33444.
The farm’s mission since the early 1950’s has been to provide locally fresh grown fruit for customers that are affordable and tasty at the same time. Bedner’s is a family-owned farm and takes pride in being one of the few left in the area.
People coming to the farm are able to experience “Upick,” which allows anyone who comes to have the opportunity to pick all sorts of fruits and vegetables such as, strawberries, tomatoes, and peppers. They also offer a market where people can get organic honey, fruits and vegetables.
Bedner’s is also very well known for its large sunflower patch which is opened to the public all year round, where anyone can come to just take pictures or take flowers home with them for a cheap price.
“Everyone at the farm is very welcoming and it is very affordable to pick and take home some of their delicious fruits.” Said Santaluce’s senior Tony Sheerer.
The farm also offers seasonal attractions such as a pumpkin patch which opens every year in September, where families can come and pick a pumpkin they can later carve.
During the end of September and all through October, Bedner’s hosts a Fall Festival every year where people are able to enjoy fun activities such as the pumpkin patch, hayrides, a petting zone, a corn maze, and delicious foods.
Entrance is free but food and pony rides are very cheap. Make sure to come and visit the farm with your family and friends, you will not regret it.
