Ms. Pinto is a fourth year English teacher who puts her heart into her classes. She helps lead Link Crew and the Jumpstart program, along with being a club sponsor for NEHS. Ms. Pinto is a dedicated teacher and she provides so much to the Santaluces team.
Q: What made you decide to be a teacher?
A: “I have always known that I wanted to work with kids. I then started tutoring in college and liked it so I stuck with it.”
Q: Why do you love English and writing?
A: “I love the fact that literature and writing becomes a part of history.”
Q: Where did you go to college and what did you study?
A: “I went to FSU (go noles!). I studied English education while there.”
Q: Where are you from?
A: “I’m from Bethel, Connecticut.”
Q: What are your hobbies outside of school?
A: “I do hand lettering and calligraphy. I made a small side business out of it.”
Q: What is your biggest challenge as a young teacher?
A: “I think the biggest challenge as a teacher is making students care about what they’re learning. I can do my very best to teach students all I know, but the desire to learn and grow from their knowledge has to come from them.”
