Maintaining perfect grades, keeping a social life, being involved in clubs and activities, and taking time for yourself sounds like too much to handle, but Senior Ashlee Williams makes it look easy. Between taking rigorous classes and partaking in extracurricular activities, Williams is a star student at Santaluces High School.
In her years at Santaluces, Williams has juggled a mixture of Honors, AICE, and AP classes, boosting her to the top of the senior class. Her constant hard work and determination pay off, as she is currently a member of the National Honor Society, as well as the co-president of the Science National Honor Society.
Williams works tremendously hard to prepare for her future.
“I want to get a degree in math,” said Ashlee.
Over the past few years, she has been working toward earning the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma, which consists of earning seven AICE credits in the span of three years. After earning this honor, she now qualifies for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, which helps pay for college tuition. These courses, combined with several AP classes have earned her many college credits, adding to her impressive resumé.
In addition to her academics, Williams loves being active and creative.
“Outside of school I really love bike riding, listening to music, and reading,” she said.
Ashlee has also previously been involved with the Chiefs’ varsity soccer team. Williams loves the positive atmosphere at Santaluces.
“I like the support from teachers on campus.”
