After having many fans anxiously waiting for 2 weeks, Lil Tecca has done it again with his latest album since 2023, making the top 15 on the Billboard 200 and collecting over 1.7 billion streams around the world. Lil Tecca announced the release of the album with an early release of the song “BAD TIME” on the album, which garnered 11 million views worldwide.
Review
I personally really enjoyed listening to this album. You can tell that Lil Tecca was experimenting with some new flows and styles throughout the album, and I think he executed this perfectly. An example is his song “SELF2SELF,” which may remind a lot of listeners of the artist LUCKI. I am a LUCKI fan myself, and I can confidently say that Tecca really showed out and delivered an impressive performance with these new styles. I also noticed some songs included transitions at the end to the next song, like his song “TASTE” to “BADTIME.” This created a seamless experience between songs, making the album a lot more enjoyable to listen to. Lil Tecca even brought a special feature, Don Toliver, on his song “I Can’t Let Go.” Both of their sounds were harmonious; they worked really well together and didn’t sound out of place. The production/beats can get a bit repetitive in sound and may be hard for some viewers to listen to the entire thing. However, it didn’t bother me, as it is part of Lil Tecca’s addictive sound. I think this new album is up there with his previous album TEC (known to be his best album), and will he only get better in the future as he masters his craft?

Honestly, the album is better than Future’s Mixtape Pluto. The songs get better the more you listen to them, and the transitions are godly. Probably my favorite album right now.
