Makerspace is a new activity at Santaluces High School that goes on during both lunches for everyone and anyone. It’s an inclusive lunch activity club to do projects and to just have fun. You go during your lunchtime and make simple things like keychains, lanyards, and bracelets for fun. We got the opportunity to go during our lunch and experience the MakerSpace for the first time and we enjoyed it a lot. The experience was great and we are so excited to see what else they have in store for students at Santaluces.
Morgan’s experience – My experience with MakerSpace was that I had a great time. I saw many kids having fun while chit chatting and making keychains and lanyards. Ms. Moe was more than welcome to help out any student who needed some assistance. Ms. Moe said that they are going to be doing new things every week so make sure to stop by and have fun.
Kerryana’s experience – My experience on MakerSpace was wonderful! I wish more people knew about it, I felt like it was a wholesome experience. I got to make a keychain to go apart from my keychain and it was so cute and goes well with the theme of my keychain. I enjoyed the time I was there. I had a lot of fun making my keychain and would definitely go back and do cute simple activities. I’m so glad that I went to MakerSpace. My experience was wonderful and worth the time while I was there!
This activity is a great way to show off your creative side and meet new people. Invite your friends to grab lunch then head over the media center and eat while making arts and crafts.
Don’t forget to check out the next MakerSpace activity, 10/30 during both lunches.
