This pencil drawing, created by Madison Murillo, depicts the British-Canadian poet and musician Matt Maltese. It explores both perspective and depth with detailed shading that brings dimension to the figure. It captures the quiet and contemplative mood of the man, while also giving it a soft, quaint look. The drawing took Madison roughly one hour to complete fully.

Heyyy! I’m Noelle-Grace, and I’m in my third year here at Santa. I am so proud to finally be part of The Tribe! Ever since my freshman year, I’ve wanted to join a community like this, and I’m so glad I can say I’ve found my place. I love making new friends, exploring art in all its forms, and (most of all) writing. I’ve been absolutely in love with storytelling and poetry since I was in elementary school. Back then, I was always scribbling down story ideas and sonnets. I can only hope my writing has improved since then… but I make no promises!
