Recently, we had the chance to interview the Lady Chiefs Weightlifting Team. We discussed how they felt about weightlifting and their personal experience on the team. The team is filled with young women who are dedicated to the team and have passion to push themselves to the limits. At their most recent meet, Atlantic Community High School, the majority of the girls placed first place, which is amazing! We interviewed two members, Yonalis Molina and Morgan Probst, for a closer look at their experience and what they like the most about the team.
Yonalis Molina is a sophomore here at Santaluces Community High School, this is her first year on the weightlifting team. During one of Molina’s first matches she hit 100 as her clean and jerk lift while it was only her first year on the weightlifting team.
Morgan Probst is a senior here at Santaluces Community high school, this is her second year on the weightlifting team. Probst hit 130 during her clean and jerk lift during her last match, but she had made a new personal record of 120 on the bench.
