Recently, we were able to interview Santaluces football player Keshawn Baker who is a 10th grader here at Santaluces.
We asked him how he felt about this past season that we just had and he said, “Obviously, it was way better than last season and there’s definitely a lot of things that we could’ve done better, but overall it was a great experience with Coach Hector.” Keshawn once again is a Sophomore and has two more years of high school left ahead and he thinks that the football program here is going to continue to get better every single year under the leadership of Coach Hector.
Personally, he believes that he still has opportunities to get better and receive college scholarships. We asked Keshawn what were his goals and expectations for the next football season and he told us “I want to get stronger, faster, and become a better leader for my teammates when they’re down. As a team, I feel that creating a chemistry that no one can break between us will help us and going into every single game with a mindset to dominate and to come out on top every game.”
We look forward to seeing Keshawn play next season and definitely expect him to have a great season.
