As of October 17th, 2025, our Santaluces Chiefs class of 2027 running back, Kelsey Gerald, has become the first Santaluces RB to reach 1,000 rushing yards in a single season. Kelsey is an electric 3 star RB and will continue to dominate in his position this season his hard work and dedication is finally starting to pay off. We can’t wait to see his accomplishments that are yet to come. From the off-season grind, he approached every drill like it was his last football game of the season. He spent countless times in the weight room, and was up late at night studying film. He carried not just the ball, but the hopes of his team. They sent their biggest linebackers his way but still didn’t let that stop him. When he crossed that 1,000-yard mark, it wasn’t just about numbers, but about the hard work and dedication a 3-star player can give to rise above the expectations and play like a 5-star.
