“Donating blood can help many people in need of a blood transfusion or just have a shortage of blood to begin with. Sometimes the ladies who carry out the blood donating process aren’t the most skilled or most capable in this field. My first time donating was a nightmare illustrated into reality. I was in the blood drive truck waiting for the uncomfortable puncturing of the needle, and the woman misses my vein. My blood flow was pressurized and I began spewing blood in the truck. The lady passed out and nearly so did I. Long story short, think before you donate, and make sure you are aware of whose drawing your blood and make sure they are capable.”

Marie Bobb, Staff Writer
Hey, It's Marie! I am 17 years old and currently a Junior at Santaluces High. I have a strong passion for fashion and writing, so I decided the perfect job for me would be a fashion editor. This is my second year in newspaoer and I absolutely love it. I've been in Florida my whole life but if my plans go right, I will end up in D.C. for college. I plan on going to Howard University because out of all HBCUS, Howard has the highest number of journalism and fashion students. I am also a dancer at Santaluces and I have been since 9th grade. I hope to continue journalism for as long as I can.
