“I want to study to be a veterinarian, I’ve wanted to be that since I was a kid. I’ve always been in love with horses ever since I was young and I use to heal their wounds so I definitely want to continue doing that. They would break a leg or cut themselves and I would be there for them to help out. Where I used to work at, I worked with a lot of horses and I use to deal with a lot of vets so it used to be one of those things that hooked on to me and I would love to continue that. I was doing that for about a year so it’s been something that I’ve been doing for a while. I don’t work with horses anymore, but I work at a pet store so I am still surrounded by things pertaining to animal life.”

Hey, It's Marie! I am 17 years old and currently a Junior at Santaluces High. I have a strong passion for fashion and writing, so I decided the perfect job for me would be a fashion editor. This is my second year in newspaoer and I absolutely love it. I've been in Florida my whole life but if my plans go right, I will end up in D.C. for college. I plan on going to Howard University because out of all HBCUS, Howard has the highest number of journalism and fashion students. I am also a dancer at Santaluces and I have been since 9th grade. I hope to continue journalism for as long as I can.
