“So today in AICE Marine Science, we dissected a variety of sea animals like a sea cucumber and starfish and I think a stingray, and we shaved off the skin. We got to see their liver, their super tiny hearts, and we also looked around their stomachs and barbs on its tails. When we flipped it over and we cut out its head, a bunch of different juices came out and we got to see its tiny brain, which was really cool. The guy next to us was dissecting the starfish. There were also people dissecting sharks and I think both the shark and starfish were females but I don’t think any of us found out if any of the animals were pregnant or not but now I really wish I had because that’ll be cool to find a baby in a dead animal.”

Marie Bobb, Staff Writer
Hey, It's Marie! I am 17 years old and currently a Junior at Santaluces High. I have a strong passion for fashion and writing, so I decided the perfect job for me would be a fashion editor. This is my second year in newspaoer and I absolutely love it. I've been in Florida my whole life but if my plans go right, I will end up in D.C. for college. I plan on going to Howard University because out of all HBCUS, Howard has the highest number of journalism and fashion students. I am also a dancer at Santaluces and I have been since 9th grade. I hope to continue journalism for as long as I can.
